Well, since I know you all are SOOO excited to find out if my Honey Glazed Ham came out and didn't kill us off....it was SO good. YAY! I'm proud of myself...I've gone from burning/undercooking everything under the sun to being master of about 7 dinners. LOL. Yes, I have a lot of learning to go...but at least I have a few more months to learn before Jocelyn starts to eat "people" food.

I haven't blogged recently due to my lack of exciting things going on. I've saved a few up over the days though.

I am currently at work (Auto Merchants) and I am extremely bored. The first few days FLEW past, mainly because we were busy selling cars, but also because it was a semi-new enviroment to me. Now today...I am so bored I'm about to jump off my desk (JK). I have an hour left and I keep looking at the clock. I think I'm just nervous about going to get Jocelyn's 4month shots.

I don't know if anyone else out there had massive problems with their insurance when they had a baby but I SURE DID! Jocelyn's birth was covered and that was IT! BlueCrossBlueShield is such a ripoff. I was paying $954 every two months for me and Jocelyn. Jeff wasn't even on the policy! That insurance policy covered absolutely nothing. Her RSV Shots ($1500 monthly), her office visits, regular immunizations, prescriptions, etc. My father failed to tell me (he is the one who set up my policy under Auto Merchants) that it only covered the birth of her. No special care nursery, nurses care, etc. So as you can imagine...I had about 4 times as much as I make in a year working worth in medical bills. HOW DO PEOPLE MANAGE WITHOUT INSURANCE?!!?! The costs are insane. I have battled BCBS since Nov.21st when she was born up until..maybe 3 weeks ago. That is when I filed for MIChild. WOW. Such a relief...they pay for EVERYTHING! It was like a huge burden lifted off my shoulders. The only bad thing is...we had to switch her doctor from Humayun to Sharon Rouse. But I have heard great things about her, so I have no worries. :) Anyways, we have a 4month check up tonight at 7. I was informed that they combine shots so she only gets 1 or 2 pokes instead of 4. Jeff is still going with me because he thought it was weird that I cried last time. What I failed to tell him is...I cry every time.

So I have some new pictures of Jocelyn...I'll post them later since they are at home. The other day she decided to roll over from her back to her belly! YAY! She now flips herself over REALLY fast and thinks its a hoot so she giggles like crazy. The meowing is starting to simmer down...now she just likes to talk to the TV. Any type of noise she can make..it's directed towards anything moving on TV. The newest thing is..she will lay in her jungle gym up on her side and instead of playing with her toys she watches Seseme Street. It's like she knows when it's on (9am) and she will start wiggling around if I'm holding her so then I set her down, she rolls up on her side, and just chills for an hour. It's nice since I have to get ready from 9-10 for work...because then I don't have to feel bad about her having to sit in her seat and watch me while I do my hair/makeup.
This is her new favorite position....on the side! But of course, since she is rolling over and rubbing her face on everything her eczema is coming back and the Aveeno isn't helping. I finally gave in and got her a prescription from the pediatrician last night. So I am going to be putting that on her face until she clears up and then just start washing EVERYTHING she/we own in All Baby.Hopefully that way we can keep her outbreak free for a little while longer. :)
And like I said the other day...it's so crazy how baby's go from not being able to do anything to lifting their head up pretty good. She doesn't nosedive into the blankets anymore when she lifts it up and gets tired. Now she is happy as a clam on her belly.

The one thing we have to worry about a little bit is the size of her head. It is VERY large (Mine is extremely large, big heads run in the family on both sides) But she is now in the 90% of head circ. so Dr. Rouse wants to run a UltraSound on her head to make sure she doesn't have a blockage anywhere creating excess fluid. The only sign of Hydrocephalus that she has is an enlarged head and growing faster than normal. But she lifts it up good as you can see... and her soft spot isn't buldging like it would be if she did have Hydrocephalus....so cross your fingers that she is alright. :) http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/library/DS/00393.html
